On friday, I drove to College Station for some meetings, and had a pretty busy day with that. I had been feeling pretty bad (like I had a bad cold), so Daniel and I went to dinner and then called it a night. We were going to the movies, but we were both way too tired.
The next day, we got ready for the football game! My mom was coming into town, and I was so excited for her to be able to come with me to an Aggie game. We parked, tailgated some, and then headed to the game. Unfortunately, football season in Texas during October is more like football season in July. It was miserably hot! I shouldn't complain, but everyone was sweaty and looked like they needed to pass out! Despite the heat, mom and I managed to enjoy the game. (minus our one point defeat to osu...uhg.) All in all, it was a fun time.
By the time we headed back, my "cold" had turned into a full blown throat infection. Awful. I managed to rally to hang out with my friends, and we were able to have a fun night. Today we are resting, going to the store, and getting ready for the week becauseeeeeeee.....
Tomorrow I start work filling in for an attorney (at my old law firm) who is out for maternity leave. It's temporary, but it allows me to work on other leads and possibilities while getting paid. When my old boss called me last week, I felt it was an opportunity I shouldn't turn down. So here I am, month 4 of living out of a suitcase. WOW will I be ready when I am finally able to settle down!
