Our Weekend is FINALLY here!
Me and my best friends from college have been planning a weekend in Canyon Lake for a year now. We made a deal after graduation that through thick and thin, marriages, kids, and whatever life throws at us, we would take out some time every year for eachother.
This year, since we graduated last year and are all on a budget, we decided on Canyon Lake so we could float the river. We are staying in a great condo, floating the river, and finally getting to catch up!
We all took Friday off from our jobs, and are driving down in the morning. 4 of us are coming from Houston, 1 from Austin, 1 from Corpus, and 1 from New Braunfels.
I packed all my stuff last night since I am leaving right after work for Houston. I am going to spend the night with my mom, and then drive down with Emily and Melissa.
I FINALLY bit the bullet and bought a waterproof digital camera ($50 at Wal-Mart HELLO!) Since I am such a cheap, this was a big struggle for me! haha. I figured that since I am always around water, whether it be on vacation with Daniel (we really wish we had one in Cozumel last Christmas), or at home at the beach, that it would be a good investment. Those little cheap cameras you buy are $10.00 a piece, so it would only take 2 trips for me to make this little purchase worthwhile. I usually buy at least two per trip because the pictures are always so bad I want more to choose from. I know the pictures will be better than those throw aways anyway!
Daniel helped me pack up this morning and is headed to Houston for a "mini boys weekend" (A.K.A working on his jeep with his friends:)) When I reminded him a couple of weeks ago that this trip was coming up he got a huge smile on his face! So much for him missing me!
