Daniel and I got off a little early from our jobs on Friday and headed down to Harlingen. We arrived a little after 11:30pm and after talking to his parents and playing with the pups, went to sleep!
The next morning we got up, had breakfast, and did a little shopping. I needed earrings for my dress and Daniel needed a new suit and shoes. (We realized about halfway home he didn't bring his dress shoes) After that, we relaxed a little bit and it was time to get ready for the wedding.
Jacob and Erica got married at St. Alban's, the school where so much of my life was spent. Much of our time was particularly spent in the same chapel they got married in. The pastor talked about how 16 years ago, Jacob and Erica met at St.Alban's and now they had returned to get married. Most everyone I went to elementary with made the trip down, and it was so special to see them all there to celebrate.
After the ceremony, which of course I cried all the way through, it was off to the reception. It was decorated beautifully and it was all that you might wish a wedding could be. Beautiful, Comfortable, Classy , and Carefree. I caught up with my old classmates for the rest of the night, and Daniel caught up with his old roommate from college, who had sold the groom his house! It was a very special evening to me to see my good friends from my childhood. My best memories are with the St. Alban's days.

Here is my handsome boyfriend...
St. Alban's friends..
St. Alban's friends...
Old Carpoolers!
St. Alban's friends. (Schuyler and I used to carpool!)
These were the most important people in my life from the time we were preschoolers to 6th grade! St. Alban's class of 2000!
Early the next morning, I woke up and went to my dads. We cooked breakfast, fed and played with the horses, and got to catch up while Daniel and his parent's went to church. Around noon, I headed back, packed up the rest of my things, and we hit the road. I read halfway and then I let Daniel sleep while I drove. (YES, I was allowed to drive the truck!)
When we got home to College Station, we dumped out stuff off and headed to our Sunday night movie. (Every Sunday in college, Daniel and I would go to the movies, no matter what...EVEN if we had a test Monday morning) The tradition continues as I have moved back for the summer. We bought tickets for Bridesmaids, which we both "kinda" wanted to see...NOTHING is playing at the movies right now so our options were limited. When we got there, we decided to get some snacks and then head right in...well, we were an hour early. (Whoops) Daniel went outside and switched out our tickets for a movie called Super 8. I will have to say it was pretty good. It was Sci/Fi, thriller, drama-but it was good. I only jumped out of my seat about three times.
For any of you readers out there, I have posted about my Kindle before but you HAVE to get one if you like to read. I have enjoyed it so much now that I finally have a chance to read. I read the Hunger Games day before yesterday. It turns out, it is a trilogy about a girl in a post apocalyptic version of the United States. Every year, children are sent into the annual hunger games, a fight to the death that reminds Panem, (their country) about the devastation that ensued from the uprising. (the U.S.A imploding I'm assuming) I just made it sound really lame but these books are REALLY GREAT! I am halfway through the second book and I can't wait to get home to finish it tonight.
I love the Hunger Games series!! I read them because all of my students were and I wanted to be able to talk about them... I was hooked immediately! :)
