Delphi Tour

This blog is going to be pretty short and sweet

This morning we woke up around 6:30 am to catch our tour bus to Delphi, an ancient Greek mythological city. This city was not occupied by anything but temples, storage, altars, and theaters. As everyone knows, the Greeks have this entire mythological world and Delphi was one of the places. According to the Greeks, Posieden, god of the sea, turned into a Dophin and led the Greeks to this location. Therfore-->Dolphin is turned into Delphi...

After about a three hour bus ride, we arrived in Delphi and were able to tour the ruins, as well as get a tour of the museum that held all the remnants of the old city. It was amazing to see something so old still standing at some places. After about two hours at the site, it was back on the bus for the ride back. We just got home and are exhausted. We have to shower and re-pack our bags for our flight from Athens to Rome

I'm really hoping we will have internet in Rome...I'm sure I will find it! Hopefully something interesting will happen for me to write about!

Talk to you soon,

kate

  1. Your trip is so fun to follow on this blog. I'm exhausted just from reading it - can't imagine how tired you must be. But all these memories will last a long, long time.
